Couple therapy is not only for those experiencing significant turmoil and dissatisfaction in their relationship; it can also be a powerful tool for couples interested in increasing intimacy, connection, and empathy. The first session will include an in-depth exploration of your goals for therapy as well as a detailed assessment designed by the Gottman Institute which utilizes research-based algorithms to discover your unique strengths and challenges as a couple. This assessment tool will enable us to tailor treatment to your specific needs and desires, monitor progress, and invite deep reflection into your interpersonal dynamics.

Meet Our Team

(she/her) is a clinical psychologist who cares for adults, adolescents (15+), couples, and members of alternative relationship structures. It is her priority to get to know you and your story so she can help you develop a deeper understanding of yourself and the skills required to create meaningful changes in your life. She draws from her specialized training in neuropsychology to enhance her understanding of the whole of an individual’s experience.

Dr. Dale is licensed by the Arizona Board of Psychologist Examiners as a Psychologist. She earned a Doctor of Psychology (Psy.D.) degree in Clinical Psychology in 2016 and is an EMDRIA-approved EMDR (Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing) therapist. She also holds a master’s degree in Clinical Psychology and a bachelor’s degree in Psychology. In addition, she maintains a certification as an Authority to Practice Interjurisdictional Telepsychology (APIT) granted by the PSYPACT* Commission. Her clinical training experiences include conducting psychotherapy and psychological evaluations in a variety of settings including psychiatric hospitals, outpatient clinics, prisons, schools, and inpatient chemical dependency programs. She is a member of the American Psychological Association and the National Academy of Neuropsychology. She has been conducting psychotherapy for 12 years.

*PSYPACT is an interstate compact which offers a voluntary expedited pathway for practice to qualified psychologists who wish to practice in multiple states. More information regarding PSYPACT and its participating states can be found here.

(she/her) is a clinical psychology doctoral student providing care under the supervision of Dr. Dale. She provides care to adolescents, adults, and couples. Her background includes a bachelor's degree in psychology, a master's degree in clinical psychology, professional and community participation in organizations serving marginalized communities, and providing therapy to youths with difficult home and school experiences.

Along with issues such as anxiety, depression, trauma, life transitions, and relational challenges, including polyamory and ethical non-monogamy, Lydia has a particular passion for serving the LGBTQIA2S+ community. In terms of broader diversity dimensions, Lydia honors the ways in which a client's, and her own, intersecting identities show up in the therapeutic space and strives to create a place in which every aspect of the person is welcomed.

Lydia holds the strong conviction that each person is the expert on their own life and, when provided a safe environment and freedom to explore, has the ability to take the steps necessary to pursue a meaningful life. Whatever leads someone through the doors to therapy, Lydia aims to support clients in addressing their identified concerns and goals through a client-centered approach that emphasizes a person's strengths, unique experiences, and self-knowledge. Afternoon and evening appointments are available.
